8th day of Fajr festival in photos

Here are some photos captured on Monday, featuring the eighth day of the 40th Fajr Film Festival in Iran’s capital, Tehran.

Two features were screened on Monday, including ‘Without Her' by Arian Vazirdaftari.

The other movie was ‘No Prior Appointment’, made by Behrouz Shoeibi.

Also on Monday, the cast of the movies attended news conferences for the films.

Talking about his movie, Shoeibi told reporters “In my opinion, the relations in the movie are normal ones; we did not try to portray a family far from reality. We, in such movies, are not supposed to do a weird thing; we want to convey a feeling and I think that feeling has been conveyed.”

At the press conference for her movie, Tannaz Tabatabaei, the star of ‘Without Her’, said that the feature is not about schizophrenia.

However, she said that “there are psychological layers in the film”.

The 2022 edition of Fajr Film Festival is headed by Masoud Naqashzadeh. It kicked off on January 31 and will run until February 11.

The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
